Check Acceptance Policy
Throughout the year, Royalview PTA holds fundraisers as well as events in which cash or checks are accepted. For those of you sending in checks, please note our new check acceptance policy. When sending in money for any PTA program, please attach your money securely to the appropriate PTA form, or place it in an envelope or Ziploc baggie. If you're sending in money WITHOUT a form attached to it, please write a note that lets us know what you're sending money for, and include your name and phone number in case we have questions. Thank You!
1. All checks should include the name, address and telephone number of the person signing the check, with the student's name referenced in the memo field of the check.
2. Only checks with a current date are accepted; post-dated or pre-dated checks are not accepted.
3. If a check is not honored, the check writer is required to pay the PTA the amount of the original check, plus all bank charges and fees incurred by the PTA for the dishonored check.
4. The PTA will not accept additional checks from a check writer until any dishonored checks, plus any bank charges and fees, have been paid in full.
5. The PTA recognizes mistakes happen and is willing to work with parents to resolve dishonored checks; however, checks will no longer be accepted by parents who dishonor two or more checks.
